Week 2 Prediction

The Philadelphia Eagles face off against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday at 1:00pm at Lincoln Financial Field.

Both teams are coming off of high scoring wins on the road. Making this matchup an interesting one to watch. I expect a tough game but I do have the Eagles coming out on top.

My preseason W/L predictions had the Eagles losing their home opener, but I think the momentum generated from last week in combination with the return of fans to the Linc will be enough to carry them in this one. That stadium is going to be loud and the energy is going to be too much for the long distance niners to overcome.

The 49ers have controversy at the QB position with some calling for Rookie Trey Lance already. They also lost their starting RB Raheem Mostert who is scheduled for season ending knee surgery. A crowded backfield and uncertainty about the guy under center could cause some trouble.

The critics of Jalen Hurts were hushed last week, for the time being. Our RB combo of Miles Sanders and Kenny Gainwell is looking like it has the potential to be one of the best in the league.

I will take the Eagles 24-20. While last week the offense was on display, I think a key defensive turnover could be a game changer this week.

Let us know your thoughts on the upcoming game!
