MNF Players to Watch

The Philadelphia Eagles will face off against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football. Here are my players to watch for both teams.

Philadelphia Eagles:

Coach Sirianni - Our first player to watch tonight is not a player at all, but rather Head Coach Nick Sirianni. Sirianni is coming off of a game that many critics attribute to lack of experience. Having made some questionable decisions in the last contest, look for the play caller to make the necessary adjustments in his first appearance on Monday Night Football and against division rival Dallas Cowboys.

Dallas Goedert - Last week the TEs were practically nonexistent, with Goedert and Ertz logging only 3 catches combined. The TE position has been a staple of this team for years, and they need to get them more involved tonight to find success. The Cowboys have given up 2 TDs to opposing TEs through the first two weeks of the season. With Ertz coming off the COVID-19 list just in time to suit up, I think Goedert sees more playing time and is the one to find the end zone tonight.

Dallas Cowboys:

Micah Parsons - As excited as Eagles fans were to draft DeVonta Smith, Cowboys fans were just as excited to see Micah Parsons land on their roster. The linebacker out of Penn State was selected 12th overall and has logged 9 tackles and 1 sack through weeks one and two. With Jordan Mailata out of the game and Parsons with his eye on Jalen Hurts, look for the rookie to make some waves.

Amari Cooper - There are a few reasons to keep an eye on No. 19 tonight. First is his production against the Eagles. In seven games, Cooper has amassed 33 receptions for 615 yards and 4 TDs. He will be playing through a rib injury sustained in Week 2, which is something to keep an eye on to see how it may impact the dynamic of the Dallas offense moving forward. Finally, we are likely to see Eagles CB Darius Slay lined up across from him quite a bit. It’s a matchup to watch closely as both players have played well thus far and the outcome of this battle within a war, could have major implications on the game.

Who are your players to watch tonight?
